πŸŽ™οΈ This book has been on my list ever since I first heard the author on a podcast earlier this year. what I have heard from the author so far is very inspiring, and sounds like we could learn a lot from this book! πŸ€“

πŸ“š It must be popular because I’ve had a hold at the library for three months lol!

πŸ“† Typically the book group meets every 2 weeks over Google Meets and we chat about what we read.

πŸŽ‰ The first meeting for this one would be the week of January 5th.

Real life has been happening over here but the important thing is to give yourself grace and keep striving for your goals!

I had to change it up and I started a new program in the midst of a different one because I was having a hard time sticking with it and getting back into the habit.
I also realized, this time around as I kickstart a physical fitness routine, my mental health really needs it most.

This time around, I’m doing it for my mental health and this time around, my mental health is nonnegotiable.

I started January 9th. I worked out twice then accidentally took 1.5 weeks off and felt pretty crummy so I decided, now’s the time to prescribe myself a supplement to take for my mental health: moving my body everyday. Even if it’s a low intensity yoga or mobility sesh. Do it for your mental!

Just like I take fish oil daily to help with inflammation and my cholesterol or magnesium daily to aid in muscle relaxation, I now take movement to improve my self-esteem, self-confidence and body image, among other things.

It’s as necessary as the cholesterol support I take before bed and the multivitamin I take in the morning.

I hope everyone is considering their mental health as a component of their overall health and really keeping in mind what makes you feel good and what doesn’t.

Because who doesn’t want to thrive in life?!

Today marks the last β€œClaim Your Power” meeting for 2024.
πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸΎ
Since January of last year, and I have been on a quest to claiming our power and meeting monthly to hold ourselves accountable and on track to continuing to claim our power in our daily lives.

It’s been a roller coaster for me to say the least but I’m not totally upset about the ride. I plan on going again to see how the ride changes for me.

For now, and as we head into 2025, I’m keeping my focus clear, working smarter not harder and leaning into the opportunities in front of me.

The last 6 months have been great! I’ve learned new skills and accomplished things that I didn’t even realize would cross my path and I did a pretty good job!

Keeping this and everything else in mind, knowing that the next 6 months could be another surprising journey, I want to be happy and healthy and READY to seize it.

Thanks, Dev for always being by my side.
In this moment, I’m inspired and hopeful for what the future brings. Now to strap in, hold on tight and ENJOY THE RIDE 🎒
