Last Saturday, 19 outstanding high school students from across Morgan County came together to participate in the MCLA TSLA Youth Leadership Summit—and what a day it was.
Thank you, Mooresville Schools, for believing in the MCLA leadership team and allowing us to host this event at their facility. Thank you, Community Foundation of Morgan County for providing us with a grant to fund this program so that we could offer it at no cost to these students and their families.
Throughout the program, these students engaged in meaningful conversations, explored their leadership styles, and stepped outside their comfort zones to grow. From team-building activities to learning tools like the DiSC profile, the day was filled with both fun and impactful learning.
What stood out most wasn’t just what they learned—but how they showed up. Thoughtful, engaged, and willing to lead.
This is exactly why we invest in opportunities like this. The future of Morgan County is sitting in our classrooms today—and after Saturday, we’re even more confident it’s in good hands.
