This county has more than a spending problem, it has a Berkeley County Commission that is abusing our tax dollars on a daily basis as we sit back and watch them and their friends get rich. Some of these positions are making more than 80% the national standard for the same position and our Commissioners are just putting a “stamp” on whatever they want. Brett Rogers is right, it’s time we look at the future of this county for ourselves. Let’s find people to replace them and VOTE THEM OUT. I was so honored to have so many people show up and vote for me in my run for Mayor. Let’s show up in numbers for the next election and take this county back.

This article brings the simple truth to West Virginia voting. A lot of these candidates WIN simply by submitting their name. This county alone is seeing growth beyond what this county can handle, schools that already overwhelmed, hospitals treating patients in the waiting rooms and POLITICIANS WHO GLADLY ACCEPT OUR TAXPAYER FUNDED CHECKS. We have to start thinking ahead to the future and finding better candidates because right now…..this city/county/state has NO LEADERSHIP ‼️

In West Virginia, a large number of races on county primary ballots only include one candidate.

A lot of these races in West Virginia are uncontested. These people can vote for themselves and win with 1 or no votes. If we want to beat the favoritism and inside corruption that is going on in this state, we have to get real contenders.

George Miller - House of Delegates District 90
Michael Hite - House of Delegates 92
Mike Hornby - House of Delegates 93
Larry Kump - House of Delegates 94
Joe Kinser - Berkeley Co Prosecuting Atty
Larry Hess - Berkeley County Assessor

Most of these people own businesses. So you know what they are most concerned with….how do they put more money in their pockets. I’m sure all of these people are good friends which means, as our parents would say “1 of them says it and the rest of them swear to it!” We need to start supporting people that will challenge the “good ole boy” network and not just from an uncontested “win!” These Delegates get paid $20K a year and I’m sure there are other “perks” that go with that salary…. FREE DINNER AT “LOBBYING EVENTS” and Berkeley County hasn’t seen so much as a new road.

Win or lose we have got to get people out there to challenge these uncontested seats. There is no accountability whatsoever and year after year we are seeing the same results….NOTHING. I never watch but apparently TV10 has the same people on over and over again. Hornby owns the station so most times, if you watch, you are only hearing THEIR PERSPECTIVE. In the next 2 years we need to all come together and find candidates that have ALL OF OUR BEST INTEREST in mind.

I just love the fact that big business, lawyers and taxpayers are now fighting back against taxpayer funded lobbying. I submitted a FOIA to see how much money lobbying has bought to this county, where it has gone and how it is being spent. There are some BIG NAMES coming out and fighting this and honestly, where is the transparency. $16K a month plus and if I’ve said it once I will say it again, WHAT HAVE WE SEEN IN THIS COUNTY THAT IS PUTTING MONEY IN OUR POCKETS! They fought big Texas and won…..sound familiar!

This is the kind of stuff that just makes us all scratch our heads and realize furthermore who our Berkeley County Commission - WV has only 1 agenda and that’s filling the pockets of themselves and their friends. Berkeley County is hiring a Deputy Director Community Corrections. It states it’s a Grade 14 at $70-90k.
The Berkeley County Commissioner’s get paid $50k a yr plus full benefits OR $10K, basically $60k a year. I don’t know what grade Gary Wines could be at over $200K a year.

I’m saying the Commissioners MAY work about 10-20 HOURS PER MONTH. Gary Wines has a 40 hour a week schedule I’m assuming, his name was on a dinner or 2 with Summer Barrett Access Strategies LLC, I’m just going to leave it at that. I don’t know what kind of degrees any of them have, but they are recommending a Bachelors Degree for this position.

STRAIGHT UP AND NO HOLDS BARRED. We see the drug problem on the streets everyday. We all know someone or a family that has been affected by this drug epidemic. DO NOT HIRE ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS WHO DOESN’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE JOB OR THE PEOPLE AND IN 6 MONTHS CLOSE A DOOR AND HAVE THIS PERSON MAKING OVER $200k like you did with Gary Wines. Furthermore, how is the Berkeley County Commission (ers) involved in this process? Where is the money to hire this person coming from?

If in fact it is someone who wants to make a difference, their hands will be full the day they get hired. This person will work far more hours then the Commissioners and Gary Wines combined for a fraction of the pay. This community DESERVES someone in this position that isn’t part of the nepotism and friends network we see in this county. Unlike just letting 1 lobbying firm continue without competition, I honestly do not trust anything the Berkeley County Commissioners do and they do not have the concerns of the community in mind.

Who exactly do these people talk to when they want to bring businesses to Berkeley County?
Do any of these people talk to the teachers, hospital staff or anyone firefighters/medics etc?
It’s is a known fact that our local hospital cannot handle more patients. They are at times, triaging patients in places other than a room. We have schools at capacity and teachers who are already leaving Berkeley County Schools in numbers. And then someone has the “bright idea” to build a pre-k/kindergarten school in Hedgesville in excess of $10 MILLION. We know if it’s the Berkeley County Commission - WV they could care less about this county other than how much money can they put in their own pockets.

On that video Summer Barrett from Access Strategies LLC said she has bought about $25 MILLION to Berkeley County. I have asked SEVERAL times to see ANY kind of ledger with real facts and real information, yet I continue to get “oh those funds go to certain organizations!” Well what organizations are they and why can’t we see a ledger or some type SO WE CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE NUMBERS.

The REALITY IS OUR INFRASTRUCTURE IS A DISASTER. No new SCHOOLS, where did the levy money go? No new roads, can we use that $25 MILLION to build new roads? Firefighters/medics…..the Berkeley County Commission keeps saying we need more officers/medics and in the same breath have a CLOSED door meeting and Gary Wines comes out making over $200K. And the local hospital….lets just say it’s not big enough now for the people in Berkeley County so let’s add another 5k houses and 25k people. If I could vote ALL of them out today, I WOULD!

What a great week for football regardless of who you wanted to win. The Bulldog- Cardinals game had us on the edge of our seats and then last night being in the stadium to watch the epic win of the last 2 seconds for the Commanders is a clip that will be watched for years to come.

So ALLEGEDLY Summer and Jason Barrett just bought a ONE MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE. We have been poking holes in this entire contract since they hired Omega and 7 DAYS LATER hired Summer Barrett to represent Berkeley County Commission - WV as a lobbyist. When I submit FOIA’s now, Gary Wines, who is make over $200K a year doesn’t answer. The responses are now coming from Anthony Delligatti Legal Director for the Berkeley County Commission.

This letter states that this contract with Access Strategies ends November 30 3024. There are some people in the background waiting to see how all of this is going to transpire. When is the Berkeley County Commission going to advertise for that position if in fact they plan on continuing to pay their friends, I mean Access Strategies LLC $16K a month when in fact, we believe the only people it is benefiting are the Commission members and their businesses.

Read this contract closely. And during this week we had some “experts” review the very words that Summer Barrett presented at the August 29 2024 meeting. Seems that there are a few discrepancies in what was said and the FOIA request that have been received. I just want to know if anyone in this county, other than a business and family or friend(s) of the commissioners, has seen any benefits from this lobbying contract. Our bills are INCREASING and we have MASS building with no improvements to our infrastructure. November 30 2024 is fastly approaching and people are watching.

TGIF and HAPPY GAME where the #2 Martinsburg Bulldogs take on the #1 Spring Mills Cardinals. The stands are going to be full and it’s going to be a great game against a local team.

Now that I’ve said that…..what is wrong with people that get so mad because someone has BLOCKED THEM. I’ve seen page after page of people blocking people especially during election year. I made a comment about HD BOYD and people jumped in and basically were mad because I blocked them. They are mad because “if I don’t agree with you I block you” or I only want to hear 1 side of the story or the she doesn’t want to hear the truth and the best 1 is I’m a bully and I hate men.

So ADAM KEEP I blocked you because I got tired of you mentioning the words “getting sued and litigation” on every post I made. Adam was more worried about me getting sued than the people I was talking about. I still haven’t and will not stop because THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH AND IF IT HURTS SO BE IT. It’s my voice on my page and I’m going to use it just like all of you all did. Be careful, family has been known to play games with people and just when you THINK YOU KNOW……‼️‼️‼️ If ADAM KEE needs money go start a go fund me. Go ahead and get your attorney and say she is doing what millions of others do in social media. I bet you post a response to this post. What’s the difference?

So again…I’m going to keep on doing me. For years women couldn’t even vote and now we have a voice and we use it. Speaking our minds is NOT gender specific….‼️

Our Berkeley County Commissioners are doing nothing more than ruining this county and I’m sure either they or their friends are benefiting in some way. Our County Commissioners do NOTHING more than spend money on lobbying, that has done what for this county, and build build build. Has anyone seen any reduction is anything for the payment to Access Strategies and Summer Barrett $16K a month plus? If anything the bills in the county are increasing.

All of this building is being proposed in the county. This is why the County Commissioners have meetings on Thursday mornings at 11AM. Most of us are working and therefore can not attend yet they sit there and collect their $50K a yr plus full benefits check. We can start by voting OUT HD BOYD in this upcoming election. And then 1 by 1 dismantle the rest of them on the next election.

WHEN YOU GO VOTE, EVEN EARLY VOTING, LETS CHECK EITHER HARDY OR STANSBURY. We have got to start NOW. We have NO leadership in this county and don’t complain if you keep voting for the same people. CHANGE STARTS WITH THIS ELECTION SO LETS VOTE HD BOYD OUT and then work on getting rid of the others. There are people that work full time jobs that don’t get paid $50K a year plus full benefits and work 1 or 2 days a month.

VOTE OUT HD BOYD AND THE REST ON THE NEXT ELECTION. THE TIME IS NOW ‼️
