The UT Martin main campus and five centers at Jackson, Parsons, McNairy County/Selmer, Ripley, and Somerville will be closed Friday, Jan. 19, due to ongoing inclement weather and poor travel conditions. No classes will be held, and staff will not telework. Employees identified as “essential” by their supervisors should report onsite.

The university’s main campus will open on a regular operating schedule Thursday, Jan. 18. Classes will resume and offices will open at 8 a.m.

While the main campus will open, all five regional centers will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 18.

Please continue to exercise caution driving to the university and walking to classes. Thank you to physical plant staff who have cleared university sidewalks and parking lots and to those who have maintained essential services such as housing, food services and public safety during this time.

This past Wednesday, we got the opportunity to spread sweetness and smiles on campus by helping with the Final Exam Cookie Cram. Special Shout out to Local Street Bakery for the wonderful Chocolate Chip cookies! 🍪💙🧡

The Fall 2023 Furaha Graduation Ceremony celebrating Black and Latino students graduating will be Friday, December 8, 2023 at 7pm in Watkins Auditorium. A reception will follow in the Welcome Center.

Graduates from these ethnicities are encouraged to RSVP to participate in this event. (Link in the bio)
