After decades in gyms as a coach and scout, one truth stands out:
Officials aren’t the biggest issue in youth sports.
Adult behavior is.
If we want better experiences for kids, accountability starts in the stands.

Dear Official:

USA Hockey Officiating Development Camps are designed to help officials take the next step—whether you’re building a strong foundation at the youth level or working toward collegiate, national, or higher-level opportunities.

Each camp blends on-ice instruction and real-time coaching with off-ice development to strengthen the skills that matter most: positioning, rule application, communication, game management, and confidence under pressure.

From Futures Camp to USA Hockey National Officiating programs, officials receive individualized feedback and mentorship from experienced instructors, along with training that supports long-term growth in fitness, nutrition, mental preparation, and professionalism.

Important Registration Information
Each camp has specific objectives and eligibility criteria designed to ensure a productive learning experience for all participants. Acceptance is not guaranteed and is based on factors such as officiating experience, current level, and demonstrated readiness for the camp’s focus and expectations. Officials are encouraged to review all camp objectives and selection criteria carefully during the registration process.

If you’re ready to improve and advance, register through USA Hockey here:
