Our 6th grade students had an exciting opportunity to learn from a true weather expert!

Friday, meteorologist Joe Furey visited MES to share his knowledge and passion for weather. We are so grateful to Joe for taking the time to engage our students with real-world science and answer their thoughtful questions. Experiences like these help bring classroom learning to life and inspire curiosity about the world around us.

The Marlborough Town Referendum for the 2026-2027 Budget, including the Town, RHAM, and Marlborough Board of Education budgets will take place this coming Tuesday, May 5th, in the Marlborough Elementary School Community Room from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Every vote counts, therefore turnout is encouraged.

The Marlborough school budget captures the funding necessary to meet students’ needs. The Marlborough School District spends less per pupil than comparable school districts yet has among the highest student outcomes, as demonstrated by state School of Distinction recognition. The district continues to prioritize class sizes and staffing which promote effective instruction, strong teacher-student relationships, and a focus on each child’s academic growth through engaging learning opportunities.

The 4.49% budget increase is largely driven by a highly unusual regional health insurance increase of 2.21%. The budget would have been closer to a 2.5% increase if not for this significant cost increase.

Mark your calendars for this coming Tuesday to cast your vote.

🎶 Our young composers are hard at work! 🎶

In music class, Ms. Tackett’s 5th graders are taking their learning to the next level by writing their own compositions using the note names and skills they’ve been practicing. It’s been so exciting to see their creativity come to life as they begin thinking like real musicians! 🎼✨
