Our students are having a blast at our fall classes!

We’ve partnered with Upschool to teach beginner woodworking to both elementary and middle school students this fall with our mobile classroom. Thanks to support from Whitefish Community Foundation , we were able to reduce the enrollment cost of this program and teach 36 students hands-on, real world skills.

Do you need a need a new bar stool? These ladies know how to build one!

Last weekend, we took over the back patio at Bias Brewing for our last Adult Summer Woodworking Session to build bar stools. We had a great time learning new tools and making sawdust!

This class wraps up our Adult Summer Workshops, but stay tuned for winter and spring classes coming soon!

Tools used for this project: Lumberjack Tools 1” tenon cutter, Makita Tools USA drills, Titebond Titebond III wood glue, IRWIN Tools bar clamps. and Maplewoodshop workbenches

We’ve got a great variety of classes lined up for September with opportunities for everyone to get involved!
We are kicking off the fall with our first high school class on September 18th - We’re building pumpkin tossing machines! (Spots Available - Sign up today!)
Our Adult Summer programs wrap up with a stool/chair project on September 19. (Spots Available - Sign up today!)
Our Elementary and Middle School programs kick off with a 12 week class at UpSchool.

B as in build a barstool with WorkshopMT at Bias Brewing in September!

It’s back to school time and feels like the beginning of fall. Adults, are you bereft of the back to school bonanza and a bit bummed about not being in a class yourself? Come, bring a buddy, and build a barstool with WorkshopMT. You will build friends and build skills as you build a barstool at Bias Brewing. Afterwards, grab a b**r and some bar food and sit your butt down on your brand new beautiful stool.

Building skills and making friends!
WorkshopMT was back at Bias Brewing this past weekend building benches. The students braves the heat and sun, learned how to use woodworking hand tools to build their own projects, and made friends along the way.
We are looking for new project ideas for future classes. Give us a like and follow, and comment below on what project you would like to build.
Thank you Bias Brewing for donating the space so we can build our projects.

🚨New Class Alert🚨
WorkshopMT is Flathead Valley Community College Continuing Education to teach STEAM in Action! A class for high school students.

This is a class about simple machines, mathematics, and construction. Through building a device to toss a pumpkin 100 feet, students will not only learn construction, but they will also learn science and physics (vectors, velocity, acceleration, and the understanding of simple machines like levers, pulleys, screws) with engineering and math (designing and building a working model) while working in arts and humanities (large group presentation skills, public speaking).

Basic woodworking crafts with Montana’s awesome brewery community!

At last weekend’s Great Bear Festival (hosted by Flathead Valley Rotary Clubs) attendees got the chance to enjoy an afternoon of live music, try a wealth of local brews from across the state, and engage in a fun & basic woodworking craft sponsored by Workshop MT
