So proud of our mayor, who is an IWU alumnus, for standing up for the citizens' interests. Sustainable development is our goal, and environmental responsibility is part of God's mandate for His people.

We are proud to announce that the IWU Engineering Program is now fully ABET-accredited!

This achievement represents a tremendous milestone for our program and reflects the dedication, commitment, and excellence of our faculty, staff, students, and university leadership. A great deal of hard work, long hours, collaboration, and perseverance went into reaching this important goal that we collectively set out to achieve five years ago when we started the program.

ABET accreditation is a significant recognition of the quality of an IWU engineering education and our commitment to preparing students for successful careers in the engineering profession. It verifies that our engineering program meets recognized global standards for quality in applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology.

Key Benefits for Students and Professionals:

• Professional Licensure: Graduation from an ABET-accredited program is often a mandatory minimum requirement to sit for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Enhanced Employment: Many major corporations, government agencies, and multinational firms specifically require or prefer job candidates who hold degrees from accredited programs.
• Global Mobility: Because of international multilateral agreements, ABET standards are recognized worldwide, making it easier to transfer credentials and work in other countries.
• Financial Aid Eligibility: Accreditation helps establish student eligibility for specific federal loans, grants, and specialized STEM scholarships.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who contributed to this accomplishment. Thank you to all who worked tirelessly to make this possible! This is a milestone worth celebrating—and an exciting step forward for the future of our engineering program.

We recently transformed a former pool and racquetball courts into a 1,000-seat sanctuary at Headwaters Church. The congregation can now worship together in a beautiful space that preserves historic elements! Learn more about the history of the site and the design process at https://hubs.li/Q04r9w-G0...
