Marion High School Yearbook invites local businesses to support our students by placing an advertisement in the 2026–2027 yearbook.

This year, ordering is easier than ever! You can create your ad online or upload an ad you already have. Ad sizes range from $50 to $400, so there is an option for businesses of every size.

Your advertisement does more than promote your business—it helps support the MHS yearbook program and gives students the opportunity to create a lasting record of their school year.

Marion Monday this week featured students learning about franchises and everything McDonalds’s. Stephanie Bishop, owner/operator of Bishop Enterprises, talked to Dr. Farner’s and Dr. Hudgens’ classes about growing up in McDonalds (picture below is her at the age of 2, when her parents opened their first McDonalds in West Frankfort, IL), and being a second generation owner/operator. Bishop Enterprises currently operates 15 locations in our region and surrounding areas. She shared about having the “courage to pick up the phone and just ask”, the importance of showing up, emphasized that success goes beyond hamburgers and fries, it’s rooted in the foundation and processes behind it all, talked about serving and meeting the expectations of many generations as technology changes the way business operate, advertise, train employees, and engage customers. Her journey was not always set, but it was learning where she fit in with an established family business, and how she could influence it for the future. She also shared the mindset of consistently asking, “How can we get better” and to always “hold to your standards”. Thank you Stephanie for taking the time to invest in our MHS students.

This week Marion Monday for Dr. Farner's Entrepreneurship class featured Gabby Cutsinger with 618 Metal Fab, Southern Illinois Boilers, and Cutsinger Stallions. She talked to students about realizng the "journey is not alwasy what you plan", and that each job prepares you for where you are currently and may be in the future. She talked about the importance of collaboration, planning, and seeing every struggle/obstacle as an opportunity. Thanks for taking the time to share your expertise and support our MHS students.

In recent weeks, the Investments 2 class has heard from some great guest speakers! Ken Harris (Harris Brothers Roofing) spoke with students about building multiple revenue streams. Beth Wilson and Lori Walker (Paul Wilson Realty) discussed the potential for investing in real estate, along with careers in real estate. Lester James (MHS Building Trades) shared about his experiences with rental real estate and real estate development. We are so grateful for the wisdom our community partners bring to our classrooms!

They spoke to Dr. Farner's Entrepreneurship class about driving change through collaboration, transforming materials to value added products, overcoming obstacles, and the importance of realizing that "your journey is not always a straight road" to end up where you should be. Marion Mondays this month in Dr. Farner’s Entrepreneurship class have consisted of two great entrepreneurs. Brandon Vaughn with Vaughn’ MasterWorks and Marion Bikes talked about following your passion and balancing two businesses. Corey Pritchett of Tattoo Time discussed the benefit of finding your freedom as a business owner and the importance of your reputation. Both talked about much more and we are so thankful for our local business owners taking the time to invest in our MHS students.
