Hello Everyone...
I have been receiving many calls about treatment for lice and how to check to see if your child has lice. Even though I am unable to treat for lice, I have begun to screen children for lice again by appointment.
Please feel free to contact me if you are in need.

Even though I am unable to treat lice due to an injury, I thought it important to post this...If your child has an itchy head, you look and the doctors look but see nothing, spend a few bucks, get a lice comb, put anything on your child's head (oil works best) so that you can comb through. Front to back and check comb...if you have a bug you will pull it and then know.
Best to catch it earlier than later. You will not be able to see anything in beginning stages but if you follow above suggestion you can get it off.
Have a great summer!
When checking for lice don't just rely on seeing the eggs/nits...you need to be searching for the louse. Get a good metal lice comb and get them out before it becomes a big problem!
Cooler weather is here...Keep coats, hats, scarves and backpacks separate from the family space to help prevent lice from coming home from school!

The Adult to the right is actually the size of a sesame seed full grown and the nymph can be as small as an egg or nit...getting larger as it matures. Amber color.

Helpful Hint: The weather is starting to get cold now and lice have already been a problem since the end of summer...Hang your coats and winter items in the garage or a room separate from your living space to ensure you don't bring home lice from school.
