It may be a little chilly outside but our boilers are officially up and running! We have warm water! 85°F in the Diving Well, and 79°F in the Lap Pool. It’s a fantastic day for a swim. Opened until 6pm tonight.

Happy International Women’s Day! Today we honor all women, especially those in the aquatics field.

“Between 1942 through 1945, when many men were away fighting in World War II, Marge Wehrli Walsh was working in Naperville at job that was believed unsuitable for her gender.

She was a lifeguard at Centennial Beach, a task with physical requirements that up until then only men were deemed able to perform.” (Chicago Tribune)

For those of you who are unaware, we are currently replacing the boiler system that heats the water in both pools. Unfortunately, the crew working so diligently on our new boiler system has informed us that there is a delay in completion. The new expected completion date is Wednesday, March 9th. Please continue to expect cooler water temperatures than normal during this time. Today, as of 6am, the water temps are 82°F in the Diving Well, and 78°F in the Lap Pool. Thankfully the warmer weather we have been having is working to our advantage! Thank you to all our amazing patrons’ patience as we await the completion of the boiler replacement!

Sewell Park Pool will be open on weekends...weather permitting of course...throughout the month of August. Saturdays and Sundays from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.
