On Friday, September 4, your child can bring $1 and their favorite stuffed animal with them to school. Stuffed animal must be small enough to fit in a backpack - no full-size body stuffies please! Money is collected in the atrium at the front door. Proceeds to benefit Keheley Foundation .

Parents and caregivers play an important role in their children’s education. Research suggests that some of the most effective forms of family engagement happen at home—from setting expectations to encouraging children to take ownership of their learning.

Four ways parents and caregivers can make a difference in their student’s success include supporting learning at home, helping with homework (without taking over), setting high but realistic expectations, and talking about learning and the future.

After our Board of Directors meeting today, we posed with our School of Excellence certificate that came in today along with the banner that will soon be hanging in the cafe. We can't wait to show it off at our Family Game Night next month. Keheley PTA is one of only three PTAs in Cobb County Schools and 5 in the entire state of Georgia to be awarded this honor this year.
