Changes are happening to the US Naturalization Exam quickly. If you file for citizenship after October 20, 2025, you may be subject to the updated exam and interview.

This notice is effective on September 18, 2025. USCIS will administer the 2025 Naturalization Civics Test to aliens who file their naturalization applications on or after October 20, 2025.

Marietta BEL Programs Inc. is ready! We know that the U.S. presidential administration is changing. This might mean big changes to the U.S. citizenship test. In December 2020, the Trump administration implemented a new version of the civics test. Many students found it harder and biased, but our students were prepared and passed after studying with us. The changes were short-lived as the Biden administration rescinded the new civics test in March 2021 and returned to the original 2008 version, which we still use today.

We want our community to know that we are prepared for any political future of the N-400 naturalization process. Just as our students thrived during changes to the test in 2020, they will continue to succeed should we return to the Trump administration’s version of the civics test. We have both courses on deck, and we will continue to stay informed and be prepared to switch lessons should we need to, even if those changes happen mid-course.
