Field of Vision Academy

It’s hard to believe we’re going to be starting year four. Thank you to all who have helped make us what we are today!

Maricopa microschool outgrows backyard graduation ceremony Field of Vision Academy started as a 15-student microschool and celebrated its largest graduating class yet at Central Arizona College.

A huge benefit to running a microschool is the ability one has to take an idea from inception to implementation at a much quicker speed. Our PE teacher mentioned how fun 9-Square would be. Within four days he had ordered parts, built it, and began playing. It’s been a big hit!

Our last field trip for the year was to the Valley Youth Theater for “Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical.” It was well done. A good reminder of the difficulties involved in being a middle schooler and in finding yourself. Great message and company!

Our troubles can feel lighter when we start looking outside of ourselves through service. A line I love from the movie “Robots” is, “See a need, fill a need.” We try to give opportunities to our students to practice service. This was our 2nd Annual visit to Feed My Starving Children. Thank you to all those that chose to donate their time for a great cause!
