It is with heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Marvens Dorestant. Marvens was a member of the MHS class of 2020. We would all like to send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday at 10AM.

ATTENTION CLASS OF 2020:
Please see the attached message from Ms. Wiatt regarding a generous offer for those of you needing a quiet place to study.

MHS Graduates from the classes of 2020, 2019 & 2018,

Many of you are here in Marathon doing your college courses virtually. Recently, a TSIC college student visited me at MHS and asked about a quiet study space with reliable Wi-Fi, particularly because the Monroe County Libraries remain closed at this time.

We found out that the Adult Education Department is willing to host recent MHS Graduates in their space here at MHS on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
They have asked college students to come from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (after the MHS lunch hours and after the Adult Education testing hours in the morning).

The Adult Education Center is located in the former Construction Lab. You need to park in the front parking lot towards the Auditorium Dolphin Mural, then you walk up the ramp near the Construction Delivery Entrance (behind the concrete wall that faces the parking area). The door is marked “Construction Lab” and the room number is 7109. You need to KNOCK on the door so that the Administrative Assistant, Ms. Annette Moran, can let you in.

Ms. Annette Moran can be reached at 305-293-1400 x53468 or x53470 if you have questions.

On your first visit, you will need to sign the attached Monroe County School District Acceptable Use Policy for Guest Access to Networked Communications. She has printed copies there for you to sign.

This is a very LARGE, OPEN space where you can either use their computers, or, you can bring your own computer and have reliable access to Wi-Fi.

I hope some of you will take advantage of this generous offer from the Monroe County School District Adult Education Center.

Better late than never!!!! The Class of 2020 presented MHS with their senior gift today, and it’s truly a work of art. Artist Pasta Pantaleo painted this beautiful mural in the front office where everyone can enjoy it. MHS is honored to have Pasta’s first signature of 2021 to cherish for years to come. Thank you, Pasta, for your amazing contribution to the MHS! 💙💛💙💛
