I offer music lessons including Sound Beginnings classes (ages 0-4), Presto classes (ages 7-11), Piano Marvel instruction, and online and in-person private piano lessons (all ages). But in spite of my loathing of piano lessons, I participated in marching band, concert band, jazz band, and orchestra all through my high school years. In college I studied music and performed with the Utah Shakespeare
Festival and the Orchestra of Southern Utah. And then, in 2012, I became that thing my fourteen-year-old self never could have foreseen... a piano teacher. And I did that thing that I swore out loud I would never do; I thanked my mom for making me take piano lessons. *GASP*
In my years of teaching, I have learned that every child (and their parents!) can benefit from time spent in music education. Music makes brains stronger and smarter. Music creates unity and connection between family members, friends, communities, and even countries. I view music as a universal language and I believe no child is too young to begin to learn to "speak" it. I would be honored to be your teacher and help your family find its musical voice. And perhaps you, too, will someday hear those beautiful words: "Thanks, Mom and Dad, for making me take piano"
