❤️⚽️MGFC showed HEART tonight! ❤️⚽️

After going into halftime down 3-1, the boys came out in the second half playing for each other and for the badge— heads high, full throttle, refusing to quit.

They battled back with intensity, won the big moments, and pushed Minnetonka to the edge in a wild 5-5 finish that felt like it could tip our way at any second.

The comeback was fueled by every player on the pitch, fighting as one with Captain Parker Carlson netting five goals.

Beckett Carlson went 3-0-0 with a pair of shutouts and a 0.33 goals-against average in the nationally ranked Oles' three-win week to start the season. The junior totaled seven saves in back-to-back shutouts of nationally ranked UChicago and Edgewood - both 2025 NCAA Tournament participants - in 1-0 wins on 9/4 and 9/6.

MGFC suffered its first loss of the season tonight, falling 2-0 to Edina.

Losses are part of the journey though, and we're confident this team will come back stronger, hungrier, and ready for the next opportunity.

Next up: a road matchup against Eden Prairie on Tuesday, Sept. 8th at 7:00 PM.
