📲 Have you heard about the ‘NameDrop’ iOS 17 update!
This feature allows the sharing of your contact information just by bringing your phones close together.
This seemingly convenient feature permits the sharing of contact information by proximity between phones. However, leaving this setting unchecked could potentially expose children to risks, making them vulnerable to online predators.
🚨Stay vigilant and take steps to protect your child's safety and privacy!
On your device, the feature says, "Easily swap numbers with NameDrop, share photos, and more by holding the top of your iPhone close to another iPhone."
To shut this off go to Settings, General, AirDrop, and Bringing Devices Together. Change to OFF.
Parents: don’t forget to change these settings after every update!

Recently, the US Surgeon General issued an advisory on the impact of social media on teen's mental health. 🌐🧠
This serves as a wake-up call for all of us to become more aware of the potential risks and take proactive steps to protect the next generation’s well-being.
Education is key! By learning how to navigate technology responsibly, we can unlock countless opportunities while safeguarding our kids’ mental health.
Here are a few key points to to teach your kids:
1️⃣ Mindful Consumption: Take control of your social media intake. Remember, what we see online is often a highlight reel, not the full picture. Don't let comparisons and unrealistic standards affect your self-esteem. ✨💪
2️⃣ Digital Detox: Give yourself regular breaks from screens. Engage in activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul – read a book, go for a walk, hang out with friends in person. Remember to find balance! 🌿📚
3️⃣ Healthy Communication: Use technology as a tool for building meaningful connections. Engage in positive conversations, support one another, and spread kindness. Remember, behind every screen is a real person with real feelings. 🤝❤️
4️⃣ Cybersecurity Awareness: Protect your personal information and be mindful of online scams. Think twice before sharing sensitive data or interacting with unfamiliar sources. Stay informed and stay safe! 🔒🔐
Let's turn our smartphones into powerful tools for growth, learning, and inspiration! 🌟💻
Together, we can create a digital world that promotes well-being and empowers each and every one of us. 🙌💙
