Yearly tradition- start Memorial Day placing flags for our veterans at the local cemetery. Then go back on Monday to remove. I have enjoyed this as a den leader and now as Cubmaster for our Scouts. It’s an honor to lead the Scouts and to connect to this Holiday in such a meaningful way. May we all continue to remember and honor the fallen.

First things first- I rarely post my own workout because I don’t ever want anyone to feel their best is less or more than my own. WE ALL do our best, and it’s ok that those bests look different. Now why I did share this…. 4 years ago I never would have dreamed I could do 30 minutes of 40 seconds on , 20 off, with 30 burpee variations. (Yea it sucked a little 😅). 4 years ago I had sever knee pain that prevented me from hiking, running, jumping, lifting, and some days even getting upstairs. I was written off as just normal aging with wear and tear. My education, experience, and intuition told me better. I worked hard, 4 years of scaling back. Being humbled more than I could track. Rehabbing every movement to the smallest detail. Is my knee perfect- heck no. Is it better and no longer a limiting factor ? Most days - yes. That’s worth it for me. Keep working, don’t you ever let yourself give up on you. Your body not supporting you doesn’t have to be a part of your aging process.

One last run through of affirmations for Haggis before his neuter appointment “Everything will be fine. I will be ok. I am strong. I am tough. I will still be a handsome kitty man even if I am neutered”. Wish him luck and fast recovery 🤞🏼😿😻 He may have limited cameos during his downtime.
