She gently said, "Don't call the doctor, I want to fall asleep peacefully, with your hand in mine." He began reminiscing, telling her about their past—the way they met, their first kiss. And in that moment, they didn't cry, they smiled. There were no regrets, only gratitude for every memory they had shared. Then she softly whispered, "I love you forever." He repeated the words back to her, kissed her forehead tenderly. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, her hand still in his. In the end, love is all that truly matters. We come into this world with nothing but love, and we leave with nothing but love. Think about it… our jobs, careers, bank accounts, the things we accumulate—these are just tools. Everything stays behind. But love… love is eternal. So love deeply. Love those who truly love you. Love like it's the most important thing in your life, because it is. ❤️✨

So, my car has no registration, no inspection, and no insurance... yeah, yeah, I know, I need to get it together! But being a single mom of 3 isn’t exactly a walk in the park!! So, this morning I’m driving to pick up Blaine from school and, BOOM, I get pulled over. My heart instantly drops, and I start panicking!! To make it worse, my driver’s license is in Brian’s car! Now I’m extra panicked. The officer comes up and asks me why I haven’t gotten my tags renewed in over a year. I explained that my car wouldn’t pass inspection and I just don’t have the money to fix it right now. He asks me to step out of the car, and now I’m thinking, "Here it comes!" We’re standing by his motorcycle, chatting about our kids and Christmas... then he hands me a yellow paper. My stomach drops again. He says, "You have no tags, no license on you, and no insurance... I’m giving you a warning." A WARNING! And then he hands me an envelope and says, "This is from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy and myself, but you have to open it right now." I opened it... and inside was a Christmas card with $100 in it!! Y’all, I broke down crying and gave Officer Ortiz the biggest hug of his life!! Thank you SO MUCH to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, and a HUGE thank you to Officer Ortiz!! Not only did I avoid close to $1,000 in tickets... I came out $100 ahead!!! God is definitely watching over me!!

What has been my biggest surprise while being married to someone? My husband used he**in for eight years before I met him. I never used anything like that myself, so I didn’t see the signs. We got pregnant, and I left him. I had our daughter by myself, and he was only allowed to come up and sign the birth certificate. Then, he got clean and sober—for us. We got married, and despite all odds and statistics, he's remained sober. We now have four daughters, and he’s never relapsed. I always expected him to relapse—not because I didn’t have faith in him, but because I thought it was just part of the long road of recovery. But he never stopped going to his counseling appointments and still goes to this day. He surprises me every single day by showing that we can change, we can grow, we can be better, and we are capable of amazing acts.

My mom took this photo… On the left, I had attempted su***de and overdosed. I took 80 sleeping pills with a bottle of NyQuil, mixed with tons of liquor, an 8 ball of co***ne, and a little bit of m**h. After 11 years addicted to drugs and alcohol, I was ready to give up. On the right, I’m almost 8 months sober. If you had told me back then that life would get better and I’d find happiness, I would’ve thought you were lying. But today, I’m clean and serene, and life is so beautiful. My daughter and I are rekindling our relationship, and I’m working on rebuilding the relationships I tore apart because of my addiction. I have friends in recovery who would be there for me in a heartbeat, whenever I need them. Life is so great, and every day I choose recovery. -Tyler

Today is a very special day in my life. I’m 18 months clean and sober and it’s also my birthday. Who would have thought I could have my family back in my life, much less have them call me their hero and say they look up to me? I’ve dreamed of this for so long, and now it’s a reality! I thank God every day for giving me a second chance at life, no matter the obstacles in my way. Credit: Stephen Jewellc

Dep. Corey Loftis was dispatched to a residence in response to a boy with autism who was severely agitated. The boy's mother knew that "Bubba" loved officers, so she called for a deputy to come to the house. When Dep. Loftis arrived, he was able to calm Bubba down by showing him how to channel his frustration through push-ups! Before long, Bubba was laughing—som**hing his mother thought was impossible at the time. Christy Richardson, Bubba's mother, shared, "I can't thank Officer Loftis enough for being so caring through it all." Credit: Christy Richardson via Bradley County Sheriff's Office

"This is Officer Brian Libetti, an Evesham Township Police officer assigned to Rice Elementary School. Since the beginning of the school year, my daughter Olivia cried every single morning ... Sometimes from the moment she opened her eyes. As we walked towards the front door of the building, someone would often have to take her from me as she sobbed, begging me to take her home. It was heartbreaking to see her so afraid, and just getting her into the building was incredibly hard. One day, Officer Brian (as the kids call him) noticed her upset and kindly asked why. I explained that she was scared and didn’t really want to go to school. This kind man asked Liv if he could walk her to class, and without hesitation, she took his hand. He gently walked her to her room, chatting with her and making her feel safe and comfortable. ‍♂️ Since that day, just a week and a half ago, Officer Brian stands every morning to greet the children. He welcomes Liv with a big smile and a warm "good morning," then takes her hand and walks her to her class. She has completely stopped crying and is always excited to see her new friend. I can’t express how grateful I am for this amazing officer. Only my Lady Liv would need a police es**rt to get into 2nd grade!" Credit: Evesham Township Police

I know exactly what you mean! It’s funny how furniture used to be solid and built to last, with real wood and craftsmanship. Now, it seems like so much of it is just dressed-up cardboard or particle board. They definitely don’t make it like they used to!
