Candidate for Mansfield ISD School Board Place 1

08/13/2025

To all the school people - despite the foolishness that has transpired in this year’s legislative session, YOU make all the difference in the world for the kids that are in your care. It’s a hard job, and I’m grateful that you have answered the call. You change lives. I still believe in public education, and it’s because of your dedication. On this first week of school, keep being the superheroes that you are. Thank you for caring for my kids and the kids of Texas.

This is an impressive list of endorsements! Clearly the best candidate for MISD place 4.

ALL always means ALL. There are no “yeah, buts” allowed when it comes to supporting all kids and making sure they are valued for who they are.

Early voting starts Monday for the Johnson county republican primary runoff.

State Representative DeWayne Burns is in the runoff and has voted against vouchers every session they’ve been brought up. His opponent is hand picked by Greg Abbott as punishment for voting against vouchers.

If you voted in the republican primary and live in Johnson county he could really use your vote. I believe he will continue to vote against vouchers next session.

Now that the school board race is over, I'm going to repurpose this page for public education advocacy. I'm still going to be a strong supporter of our public schools, especially Mansfield ISD. Running for school board has taught how to become more involved and how to fight for every student in our district.

My vision is for this page to be a source of information, opportunities for advocacy, and a call to action as we fight against the state for the future of our schools.

I hope you'll stay connected!

We now know for sure that the Place 1 election is not going to go my way. While I would’ve loved to serve the entire MISD community as a trustee, I am proud of the race we all ran together and proud of the way we did it.

Thank you to all of you for your support of my message and believing that I would’ve done some good on the school board by making sure we advocated for our staff, advocated for all kids, and ensured transparency with the community.

I hope you’ll keep supporting Mansfield ISD by celebrating when great things are happening, and making sure your voice is heard when things need to change.

I’ve loved getting to meet so many great people, and have made several friends along the way. The best thing that came from running for school board is the friendships that were made.

Congratulations to Michelle Newsom on a race well run!

Congratulations to Jandel Crutchfied on being the newest school board trustee and first social worker on the board! Your expertise and experience are needed on the board!
