MCP Academy “The education of a very small child does not aim at preparing him for school but for life.” Maria M. Welcome to our page!

MCPA is a Private Micro-school program for grades PreK 3 through 4th grade. We offer a unique Montessori style learning environment that uses a rigorous curriculum that is playful and intentional. Focusing on children's cognitive, social emotional, and physical development. Embedding high quality academics into play-based exploration. Enrollment is offered 2 days up to 5 days per week. Our School holds an active membership to the National Microschooling Center. Our micro-school is a small, private institution somewhere between homeschooling and a private school. Some people call them “outsourced homeschools.” Micro-schools are small, privately run schools where students are supported by parents and education staff to see that every student is successful throughout the learning process. At MCPA we understand that each student learns uniquely, and we help them achieve standards and progress at their own pace. We provide a safe and flexible environment for all our enrolled students to learn and grow confidently. Our page is used to share our daily activities, send reminders, and share ideas with parents & educators.

What a fun and busy week at MCP Academy!

Our students spent the week learning, exploring, and connecting classroom lessons to the world around them.

❤️ MCPA hosted our second Pediatric CPR and First Aid class since moving to our new campus. Having 2 conference rooms is such a benefit to being able to offer more of our adult educator classes for teachers.

🚒 Students learned about fire safety, fire stations, community helpers, and how local government and community organizations work together.

It was a great week!!!

🦀🐚 What an AMAZING day at MCPA! 🐚🦀

Our learners had the most incredible presentation today with the marvelous Crustacean Max! 🤩

He was patient, incredibly kind, and absolutely wonderful with our kids. He answered ALL of their questions, encouraged their curiosity, and even let them hold and touch real fossils — while we stood nearby slightly petrified that one might hit the floor. 😂🫣

And his knowledge?! Absolutely incredible! Our kids were completely engaged, asking questions, examining fossils, and soaking up every bit of this hands-on learning experience.

THIS is the kind of learning we love at MCPA — curious kids, real experiences, hands-on exploration, and experts who make learning come alive. 🤍

And the best part… this isn’t the last we’ll see of Crustacean Max! 🦀 We are already looking forward to scheduling an upcoming Fossil Workshop, where he’ll be making a special guest appearance!

Our hearts are SO full! 🥹🩷

We love Ms. E so very much, and while we are going to deeply miss having her at MCPA while she is out with her new baby, we could not be more excited for her and this beautiful new chapter! 👶🏻🍼✨

Ms. E is such a special part of our MCPA family, and she is loved BIG by our students, families, and staff. We already know there will be lots of little people asking, “When is Ms. E coming back?” 🥹💕

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families who helped us celebrate her today! Thank you for the sweet gifts, baby books filled with special messages, hugs, love, and all the little things that made her celebration so meaningful. 📚🎁💐

We are all SO excited to meet this precious baby girl and cannot wait to watch Ms. E begin this beautiful new adventure. 🩷

This week was full of discovery! 🌊🐚

We wondered what lies beneath the waves, learned about fascinating sea creatures, explored ocean ecosystems, and talked about why healthy oceans matter. From hands-on activities to creative projects and thoughtful conversations, every day brought a new way to dive into the topic.

There’s something special about watching children’s curiosity grow as they investigate the world around them. 🐠✨

So many questions, discoveries, shared moments, and joyful learning all week long. 💙

What a week so far. 🤍 So much learning tucked into so many little moments.

We explored, created, built, played, asked questions, worked together, got our hands messy, and discovered new things along the way.

Some of the very best learning —it looks like curious kids completely engaged in what they’re doing. 🌿✨
