The 2nd annual Martinez Feeder Readers Summer Family Book Club Celebration was a grand success! Families from Alma Martinez Intermediate School, Brenda Norwood Elementary, and the Innovation Learning Academy Smith Elementary School came together to celebrate reading, eat book-themed snacks, create collaborative art with local artist Robin Moody, discuss one of our ocean-themed books -- Gabby Torres Gets a Billion Followers by Angela Dominguez and Gracie Under the Waves by Linda Sue Park -- and leave with a free book!

Thank you to Half Price Books and Hawaiian Falls Waterparks for your donations!

This event was generously sponsored by Alma Martinez Intermediate PTA, Brenda Norwood PTA, ILA at Elizabeth Smith Elementary PTA, and a Summer at the Library grant from the Texas Library Association and H-E-B.
