Thank you to all candidates for stepping up to serve MISD. Thanks to Courtney Wilson Lackey for your years for service with MISD.

Congratulations to Dr. Benita C. Reed and Michele Gooch on moving forward to the next School Board term!

The unofficial results are in for the May 2 Mansfield ISD school board election, where two seats were on the ballot.

For Place 6, Dr. Benita Reed ran unopposed and received 100% of the vote.

For Place 7, Michele Gooch received 50.48% of the vote, while Courtney Lackey Wilson received 49.52%, with a tight margin of just 65 votes separating the two candidates.

Results remain unofficial until provisional ballots have been considered, and after the final canvassing is complete at the May 12 called board meeting.
