Lancer Express is live — and fall is already moving.

The 2026-27 year is officially underway at Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
302 students. Theme: Grace Alone. New teachers in brand-new classrooms. Fine arts calendar packed. And fall athletics hitting the ground running.

Football opened with a 36-0 win at Roncalli and is HOME tomorrow night vs. Brillion at 7:00. Cross country races Thursday at Two Rivers. Volleyball is already in the mix.

Congratulations to Mr. Joel Barthel!

We are thrilled to celebrate our very one Science Instructor and FIRST Robotics Lead Mentor, Mr. Joel Barthel, on receiving the 2026 Lake Michigan Champions of Conservation Award from the Lake Michigan Stakeholders.

This honor recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in protecting and enhancing the lands and waters of the Lake Michigan Basin. Mr. Barthel’s dedication to environmental science education at MLHS—through teaching, innovative grants, student projects, and hands-on learning—embodies the spirit of this award and inspires our students to become faithful stewards of God’s creation.

As part of this recognition, a $500 check from the LNRP is on its way to MLHS, specifically designated for new trees on campus! Thanks Mr. Barthel!!
