My Grandma, Joan Hoffman, passed away last week. I have been remembering her in many fond ways these few days, and imagine I will be reminded of her and her legacy in the days and weeks to come.

Grandma and I shared a special connection through playing piano and it is a gift to use her grand piano for students to learn with weekly. I know she enjoyed that her piano is being loved through lessons for the next generation of aspiring pianists.

In what turns out to be a full-circle moment, I have decided to move forward with the days I have planned for my piano lesson students' first formal concert, which will be held this Sunday @ 2pm on the KSU campus. It is especially meaningful for me as it is directly following her memorial service on Saturday.

We will be remembering her life in a service Saturday morning, and I am grateful to honor her legacy by playing piano and accompanying throughout the service alongside family. You are welcome to tune in via youtube (link tbd or via the Stockham website).
