K-State placed fourth overall and won the most attractive fountain award at this year’s ASABE Fountain Wars Competition.

For Steve Bellinger, the Semiconductor Materials and Radiological Technologies Lab at K-State wasn't just a place to conduct research, it was where his future began.

He gained hands-on experience building radiation detection devices, work that sparked a career in nuclear technology and ultimately led him to become CEO of Radiation Detection Technologies.

The K-State Fountain Wars team is in Indianapolis for ASABE’s 2026 Fountain Wars competition where it will turn a six-foot plastic kiddie pool into a high-stakes, water-powered competitive arena. K-State's team won the event in 2025, which was the club's first win since 2019.

The Carl R. Ice College of Engineering has named Anil Pahwa interim associate dean for research and graduate programs.

A longtime faculty member and nationally recognized researcher, Pahwa brings decades of leadership and experience to the role. We look forward to his leadership as he guides the college's research and graduate programs through this period of transition.

Powercat Motorsports continues to raise the bar. 🏆

The team placed third out of more than 100 teams at Formula SAE Michigan, earning the best competition finish in club history.

We had a wonderful time connecting with students in this year's MAPS Summer Bridge Program.

For two weeks, students explored campus, connected with faculty and professionals, learned about engineering pathways and gained insights to help them succeed in college and beyond.

Meet the K-State CubeSat team

At K-State, engineering students are gaining hands-on experience designing and building CubeSat missions — learning the complexities of satellite systems, testing and mission planning with the goal of eventually launching their satellites into space.
