And just like that, a beautiful chapter closes and an exciting new one begins. Today’s 5th grade promotion ceremony was filled with so much love, reflection, and maybe a few happy tears. These kids have built friendships and memories at Pennekamp that will last a lifetime 💙💚
We are sending them off to middle school with so much pride in who they are and endless excitement for who they will become. Keep shining bright!, Dragons! 🐉
Today, our amazing 5th graders walked the Pennekamp halls one last time for the promotion parade. Hearing the entire school cheer them on and seeing those final high fives brought all the feels. We will miss you!

Today was our annual Pennekamp Bridging Day, and our hearts are so full. We welcomed back our incredible Mira Costa seniors—who started right here as proud PK Dragons—to spend the day with our graduating 5th graders! 🐉✨
From high-energy field games to sharing favorite elementary school memories over lunch, it was the perfect passing of the torch.

Odyssey of the Mind World Finals took place in Ames, Iowa this year from May 27- 30. It was an incredible gathering of creativity with 684 teams attending. World Finals teams typically spend 1000+ hours during the season preparing for this event. There were 5 teams representing Manhattan Beach.
Congratulating to our Pennekamp team, Noah F., Arik A., Maeve J., Sienna K., Elayna O., Mariella H., Mikala K., who competed in Problem 4, Division 1 and were awarded 4th Place!
