My third Motormorphosis conference is in the books!!! The biggest takeaway? The greatest teachers are the spellers themselves. Their voices are loud and strong!
At Motormorphosis this year, spellers were the leaders, the presenters, and the teachers. Their insight, honesty, and wisdom powerfully reinforced why we must always presume competence, support purposeful communication, and honor each individual’s autonomy.
As an S2C practitioner, I’m returning home inspired, challenged, and even more committed to growing and expanding my own practice OnPoint Communication. I’m grateful to everyone who shared their stories and experiences so openly. You have made me a better practitioner, and I know what I learned will positively impact my own Spellers and families I have the privilege of supporting.
Thank you, International Association for Spelling as Communication, spellers, allies and of course Elizabeth Vosseller , Christie, Lakshmi at CrimsonRise, Katlyn Billue and so many other wonderful teachers for an incredible few days of learning, connection, and inspiration.
