💙 BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: ASHLEY MORGAN, VP OF AFFILIATION! ❤️

By day, I’m a passionate PTA advocate, leader, and professional multitasker, but my favorite roles are being a wife and mom! When I’m not working to make a difference for our students and schools, you can find me trying to keep up with my two busy kids, Aubrey and Ashton, cheering from the sidelines, planning my next adventure, or traveling the world with my husband, TJ! Along with my full-time job working with individuals interested in pursuing health careers, I believe life is all about making memories, sharing laughs, and enjoying every moment with family and friends. Whether I’m advocating for kids, juggling schedules, or collecting passport stamps, I’m always on the move!

💰📊 Toolkit Thursday: Treasurer Edition! 📊💰

A strong PTA starts with strong financial practices! 💙

Whether you're a new treasurer or a seasoned PTA leader, staying organized and keeping your finances transparent helps your PTA build trust and make the most of every dollar.

🧰 Here are 4 tools every PTA treasurer should have in their toolkit:

✅ A Budget That Works: Keep your budget updated and share regular financial reports with your board.

🧾 Accurate Records: Keep receipts, invoices, bank statements, and financial documents organized and accessible.

🏦 Monthly Reconciliation: Reconcile your bank statements regularly to catch discrepancies and keep your records accurate.

🤝 Financial Transparency: Make sure your board understands your PTA's financial position and follows your organization's financial procedures.

💡 Treasurer Tip: Don't wait until the end of the year to organize your finances. A little consistency throughout the year can save your PTA a lot of stress!

💙 Feature Friday | Board Member Spotlight: Peggy Mauer, Membership Chair
👋 Meet Peggy Mauer, our Membership Chair!
Peggy has been involved with PTA for 6 years at the local level and has served on the Louisiana PTA state board for 4 years. As Membership Chair, she is all about everything and anything membership! 👥💙
Peggy oversees the state membership plan and works closely with local PTAs across Louisiana. She monitors membership, follows up, encourages leaders, and stays connected with local PTAs to help them keep membership moving forward. She also works to ensure Louisiana PTA stays in good standing with National PTA.
But PTA isn't just something Peggy does at the state level. She currently serves on the board at Boyet Junior High, where she also works with membership.
Outside of PTA, Peggy is a mom of 6 and has been married for 22 years. ❤️
We are so grateful for Peggy's dedication, encouragement, and passion for helping PTAs across Louisiana grow!
