The 2nd Annual 5k will be held on
March 24, 2012 @ 8:00 am - 10:45 am
in Fontainebleau State Park! IMPORTANT UPDATE!: Fontainebleau State Park is expected to be VERY CONGESTED on the race day, so plan to arrive as EARLY as possible! Park rangers may be closing roads as early as 9AM, so try to arrive EARLIER than 8:30 AM. Follow the PURPLE signs to the parking lot in the back of the park near the beach. There will also be another organization holding a 1 mile walk occurring at the exact same time as the 5k for Danielle Inn, so we will have less parking than anticipated. After parking, please sign in/register as soon as possible to receive your t-shirt and/or race bibs. Then, help yourself to a complimentary breakfast with refreshments and check out our sponsors. We have a pre-race warm-up with a physical trainer scheduled for 8:45 AM. If you haven't signed up yet, please pre-register online to speed up the registration process. Sign up at www.danielleinn.net/5KWalk.shtml. See you there! Danielle Inn is a refuge and home for single pregnant women in need. Not only does it provide a place for the women to stay, but also the Inn provides all meals and transportation and covers medical costs. The Inn requires the girls to work, but since their expenses are covered, they get to save all their income to prepare for motherhood. Furthermore, the Inn gives the girls an opportunity to get their GED and/or college credits.
