We’re looking forward to welcoming you TONIGHT for the inaugural Mandan Classical Schools Harvest Gala!

A few helpful reminders as you prepare for the evening:
🍂 The Gala will be held at Apple Creek Farm (750 80th St SE, Bismarck), with both indoor and outdoor portions throughout the evening. There is no need to bring or print a physical ticket. We will have a master guest list at check-in and will simply welcome you by name when you arrive.

🍂 For attire, the dress code is Dressy Country — think polished and festive, with a touch of country charm. Dresses, skirts, dress pants, dress jeans, button-downs, casual blazers, and boots are all fitting choices. We recommend choosing shoes that are comfortable for grass and uneven ground. In short: dress up for a beautiful evening in the country, while keeping the farm setting in mind.

We are grateful you’ll be joining us for this special evening in support of our students and we look forward to celebrating with you!

The upperclassmen potluck lunch was extra delicious today 🍝 This crew planned and prepped and are already scheduling the next one. It is beautiful to see our students joyfully leading, planning, and connecting.

Our inaugural Harvest Gala is coming up fast, here are a few details:
🍂 TICKETS are REQUIRED and are available here: https://www.chestertonmandan.org/harvestgala
🍺 DRESS CODE: Dressy country. Ladies, dresses, skirts, or dressy pants are all lovely choices. Gentlemen, think dress pants or dress jeans paired with a button-down, sport coat, or blazer. Boots are certainly welcome! Since the event will take place outdoors, we also recommend choosing shoes that will be comfortable on grass and uneven ground.

In a culture that constantly tells us to want more, G.K. Chesterton offers a radically different idea: perhaps having “enough” has less to do with what we possess and more to do with what we desire.

Contentment is not the absence of ambition, but the ability to recognize what is truly worth pursuing. When our desires are ordered toward what is good—toward faith, wisdom, virtue, friendship, and love—we begin to understand that a full life cannot be measured simply by how much we accumulate.

At Mandan Classical Schools (the future Chesterton Academy of Mandan), education is about forming not only the intellect, but the desires of the heart. We want our students to learn to distinguish between what the world tells them to want and what is genuinely worth wanting.

Because sometimes the path to having more begins with learning to need less.

On the first day of school, our students began a tradition that will shape their days throughout the year: daily mass. 🙏

Gathering together at St. Joseph Catholic Church, our founding students and faculty started the school year by placing their day in the hands of God.

What a beautiful way to begin our first year. ❤️
Why do we attend daily Mass every school day during the year? Because a truly Catholic education requires us to keep our eyes fixed upon the reason for life itself.
