Luy Lesson of the Day: Perseverance reaps rewards. My lovely wife and I have been looking for a place to call home for a year now. I am happy to announce we have found a 22-acre ranch in The four corners region of Colorado. It is less than 10 mi from the entrance to Mesa Verde and canyon of the ancients.
Also, we are caring for three pregnant pigs, 29 chickens, a plethora of hummingbirds and lots of microgreens.
It's only been a month thus far but it is a glorious adventure being ranchers. I never thought I'd be doing this but boy am I glad I am. Everyday I have a big grin on my face no matter the task.
We call it after our late friend .your.head.in.the.clouds
Figure out what you want in life and chase it until you catch it friends.

Luy Lesson of the Day: FOMO- Fear Of Missing Out. I have been managing FOMO as a trader lately. Here are a few tips I use to overcome FOMO when trading.
1. Stick to your trading plan, your strategy.
2. Leave your emotions out of your trading.
3. Use your indicators.
4. Verbalize your rationale for entering a trade. If your rationale does not make perfect sense or you have to talk yourself into the trade, stay on the sidelines.
5. Everyone is in the same position as you, don't be controlled by the FOMO, there will always be another trade.

Luy Lesson of the Day: Price is what you pay, value is what you get.
Take house cleaning for example. Sure I can clean my home but my time is more valuable then the amount of money I pay to someone else to clean my house. I don't like cleaning the house, I would rather be doing something fun. So I get value from paying someone else do something I don't want to do.
In finance terms, that is the time value of money. Determine what the value of your time is and let me know in the comments section below.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Luy Lesson of the Day: Don't buy THIS dip! In 2020, I keep hearing buy the dip. Usually this is good advice and has been thus far in 2020.

However, given the increasing instability in US financial markets I believe the wait and see approach is safest at this point.
With zombie companies making up the majority within the stock market, increasing political instability, increasing social unrest and a presidential election on the horizon, buying the dip is no longer the best option. You could get stuck owning stocks that are overvalued for years once the real market crash happens.

Luy Lesson of the Day: Wealth creation begins with small, daily decisions. Cooking at home, saving those alcoholic beverages for special occasions, and disallowing impulse buying are some quick examples that will help your financial goals become financial realities.
Keep in mind that you don't have to serve yourself of pleasantries, just be mindful of your decisions and how it impacts your financial well-being.

Luy Lesson of the Day: "Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments." Jim Rohn
The most important aspect to accomplishing your goals is discipline.
Even if you get off track sometimes, you can always get back on.

Luy Lesson of the Day: Set your short-term goals to attainable levels. By being realistic with what you're able to complete on a short time frame, you will see the short-term goals achieved.

Set reasonable, even conservative goals, then apply yourself to working toward your goal. You will quickly find the short-term goals being reached with much greater ease.

Luy Lesson of the Day: Conceivable, Believable, Achievable goals are the key to your success.

Goals required three things from you to see them successful.
Your goal needs to be conceivable so that they clearly understood.
Your goal needs to be believable, so that you're confident you can reach them.
Your goal needs to be achievable meaning you have gauged your strengths and weaknesses to determine that you have what it takes to achieve your goals.

Conceivable, Believable, Achievable (CBA's) are key to your success.

Luy Lesson of the Day: It's goals week where we discuss goal setting methods, tips on how to gracefully achieve these goals and how goals change your psychology.
I have an alarm titled "Goals for tomorrow" that goes off at the end of my work day to remind me to write a list of goals I want to accomplish the following day.
It only takes less than 5 minutes to create a road map for the following day. It helps me decouple from my work for the evening as I know that tomorrow's goals are defined.
Making daily goals the night before has helped me organize my thoughts, equalize my work life balance and help me more easily define long-term goals.

Luy Lesson of the Day: October is traditionally a volatile month for the stock market. The stock traders almanac refers to October as the "jinx" month. It is a mystery why October historically has exhibited so much volatility but you should be aware of the volatility October consistently provides.
By setting your stop loss is tight, keeping realistic profit expectations and sticking with your strategy, you have a Good chance of making it through October in the green.
