Today, we pause to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.
While many of us spend time with family, enjoy cookouts, or celebrate the unofficial start of summer, this day is ultimately about honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
Their courage gave us the freedoms we enjoy every single day — freedoms that are often easy to take for granted.
At Rapid Response Training, we also recognize the many veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and military families in our community who continue to serve others with dedication and sacrifice.
Today, we remember.
Today, we reflect.
Today, we give thanks.
Please take a moment to honor those who never made it home.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Yet.... Hospitals continue to promote online education including CPR training like this.
If you've ever done it you know it's true

In the last 6 months, I've had 2 friends that have suffered an out of hospital cardiac arrest... Thanks to quick acting bystanders who recognized the emergency and called 911, started CPR and received early defibrillation, both are alive and well!
The odds were against both of them... Nationally, you have about a 10% chance of surviving this event, but those chances rise significantly when someone knows and starts CPR.
Friends, make no mistake... CPR saves lives and it's easy to learn. Please... If you don't already know it, learn!
I'm proud to call Ron Eddy my friend and I'm thankful he is still with us.
Ron Eddie’s story: Paramedic’s survival highlights importance of CPR training Ron Eddie, a paramedic from Westfield, survived a cardiac arrest in March thanks to the immediate actions of his wife, Nancy Morrissey, and the swift response of emergency services.

Please... This legislation is important to me and every single healthcare worker in New Hampshire.
I have been assaulted multiple times, and currently have a case pending in Massachusetts after I was assaulted in 2024.
We must have protections in place for all healthcare workers. Nobody should go to work knowing they may be assaulted, and nobody should ever be denied justice after being assaulted.
Nurses are leaving the profession by the thousands every year and assaults continue to rise.
Please contact your legislator and ask them to support this bill and protect healthcare workers.
Bill would make it felony in New Hampshire to assault emergency department personnel Lawmakers in Concord are moving forward with legislation to make it a felony to assault emergency department personnel.

Just got back from Newport, Rhode Island where I experienced an amazing couple of days of education and networking at the ENA New England Regional Symposium. Thank you to Rhode Island ENA for your amazing hospitality and incredibly hard work putting this event together.
I'm looking forward to next year in beautiful Stowe Vermont with my friends at Vermont Emergency Nurses Association
Hope to see everyone there!

'Protected Education Time'
Yes! This is exactly what so many hospitals and EMS agencies are missing in their orientation programs.
Ok, not just orientation. All of it
I'm just going say it out loud.
Online education while working may check all the boxes for the boss people but it just doesn't work.
To be the best you can be, nurses/medics/EMTs not only MUST be given the right tools for success, they must be given the right environment to use them.
