Last 2028 PY1 Why PT Wednesday 🥲 “I chose physical therapy because I’ve enjoyed collaborating with the people in my community through previous experience in the fitness industry and working in the department of health. Being able to be a part of others’ journeys to live a more independent life and watching their confidence grow inspired me to become a physical therapist and has guided me toward my interest in women’s health and geriatrics.“ - Hanah

2nd to last Why PT Wednesday from Grace Kelly - “I became interested in physical therapy after seeing firsthand how PT is more than just physical rehabilitation. It also involves supporting patients through the mental and emotional challenges that come with recovery. I developed a strong interest in neuro PT because of the challenge of helping patients regain function and independence, even when others may think it is not possible. Sports PT has also interested me because of my own athletic background. I want to help athletes return to their sport stronger, more confident, and better prepared than they were before.”

Why PT Wednesday from devin_bourget1 - “Growing up as an athlete, I experienced firsthand how physical therapy has helped my teammates and others to recover from injury and return to sports they love. However, after grandpa watching him regain his strength and independence, I wanted to become a physical therapist. I wanted to help others like my teammates and my grandpa to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful progress in their own lives. That’s why I continue to strive and better myself in school to provide the same level of care.”

Why PT Wednesday from our PTSA Secretary Annika Furtado - “After experiencing four knee subluxations and undergoing two knee surgeries, I developed a deep appreciation for the impact of physical therapy and the role it played in my journey back to the soccer field. The strong connections I built with each of my physical therapists inspired me to pursue a career where I could make a difference in the lives of others and one day provide the same support, encouragement, empathy, and care that helped me through my own recovery.”

Why PT Wednesday from Jocelyn Hutchinson - “I believe there is a career out there for everyone that incorporates all your interests, even if that means creating it yourself. I was a swimmer for 10 years and avid dog lover, so aquatic and canine therapy fit for me.”
