What do you enjoy creating? Now, students at CHESS can learn the basics of cake decorating! Students will explore:
- creating borders
- making simple buttercream flowers
- writing/printing with buttercream
- cake and cupcake design
- simple 2D and 3D fondant decorations and characters

Kelly graduated from Virginia Tech and spent the next 11 years after college in full-time ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ. After marrying her husband, she eventually homeschooled and graduated her two boys in 2019 and 2024. Kelly started decorating cakes in the 1990’s for friends and family. Over the years she has taken classes to hone her skills and has led several cake decorating workshops for homeschoolers and women’s ministry groups. For the past 3 ½ years she has been a volunteer baker with Cake4Kids, making treats for foster and at-risk youth.
