Alchemical Initiation: Transfiguration & Spiritual Vision on the Path of the Rose-Cross - Ike Baker
This presentation will look at some of the initiatory formulas and mechanics of initiating organizations within the Rosicrucian movement, as well as techniques of inner alchemy and spiritual development transmitted by certain Rosicrucian luminaries. Among these are Martinez de Pasqually, Eliphas Levi, Alois Mailander, Gustav Meyrink, and several others. We will also talk about how inner alchemical practices can be used in modern practical systems of ceremonial and initiation.
Ike Baker is an internationally acclaimed author (A Formless Fire: Rediscovering the Magical Traditions of the West, Tria Prima 2024; Ætheric Magic: A Complete System of Elemental, Celestial & Alchemical Magic, Llewellyn 2025), scholar, speaker, content creator, and practitioner in the western esoteric traditions. He hosts the Arcanvm YouTube channel and podcast where he produces documentary style presentations on all aspects of the western esoteric traditions including alchemy, astrology, ceremonial magic, and their respective histories and philosophical traditions. Ike also conducts conversations with some of the foremost authorities, practitioners, scholars, and authors in esotericism and the occult. Ike is also a senior adept and temple chief of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (Regardie-Cicero lineage) a masonic Historian, practicing Martinist and long-standing initiate of several other traditions. He organized and hosts the Southeastern Masonic Symposium in Asheville, North Carolina and the Hermopolis Symposium, the first conference of its kind featuring a 5 day academic and practitioner symposium at the New Hermopolis eco-village in Minya, Egypt with his co-organizer Dr. Mervat Abdel Nasser.
