Last night’s ICA/Boston First Fridays: White Hot Vol. 11 was absolutely AMAZING! Baby, the ZNT Arts team brought all the glitz and glam. ✨

Many thanks to the ICA for the collaboration and for inviting Face Painting by ZNT Arts to be part of such an incredible night. Our Glitter Bar was a major success, and when I tell you the team and I were going NONSTOP! Back to back, okay! 😂 We are tired, but we had so much fun.

To every person who stopped by, sat in our chairs, trusted our creativity and let us add a little extra sparkle to your night, 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨! 🫶🏾✨

One thing about being a body artist, and really just being an artist working in public spaces, is that as much as I want to document everything, 𝗜 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁. I want to create, connect, observe and actually experience the moment. Soooo, we didn’t get nearly as many pictures as I would’ve liked. 😂

In my Beyoncé voice, “It feels so good to be alive.”

July was rough, y’all. I’ve been through some things, and I’m still moving through some things. But if there is one thing about me, I’m going to lead with love and abundance as much as I can, even when life feels challenging and hard.

And I’m incredibly grateful for the people in my life who continue to show up for me in a multitude of beautiful ways. The calls, the check-ins, the laughter, the generosity, the kindness, the love. You know who you are. I love you, and I don’t take any of it for granted.

Life keeps reminding me that joy and difficulty can exist at the same time. So I’m choosing the moments that make me smile. I’m choosing the water, the sunshine, good people, good food, creating art and being here to experience another day.

And baby, August?! I’m so excited. There are so many beautiful things happening with ZNT Arts this month and heading into the fall, and I’m genuinely proud of the direction this dream of mine continues to grow.

I’ve been through some s**t. I’m still here. I’m loved. I’m grateful. I’m excited about what’s next. And baby, I’m STILL here smiling.

We all have to start somewhere, and sometimes your camera roll reminds you just how far you’ve come.

Thirteen years of paint, glitter, smiles, and community.
The first photo was taken while face painting at the Annual Everything Is Real Customer Appreciation Cookout. Rest in peace to the one and only Mathematics Allah, who poured so much love, energy, and dedication into serving the community.

Fast forward to today and I’m still doing what I love recently painting at Daddy & Me Family Day Daddy and Me Literacy Program and witnessing that same spirit of joy, care, and community being poured into families.

Somewhere between these two photos I learned that face painting isn’t just paint on skin. It’s confidence. It’s play. It’s self-expression. It’s joy.

And one thing remains true:
Face Painting by ZNT Arts is for everyone.

From community festivals in Boston to celebrations in DC and New Orleans, I’m grateful that art continues to carry me into beautiful spaces and connect me with beautiful people.

The lines got cleaner. The designs got stronger. The mission stayed the same.

Creating joy through art, one face at a time.

A heartfelt thank you to the Omega Men in Action for inviting ZNT Arts to add a little sparkle and joy to your special Father’s Day celebration.

It was a beautiful breezy day at the beach filled with good energy, amazing throwbacks from the DJ, delicious food on the grill, and community. I didn’t get many photos of the face painting because honestly, I was just enjoying the moment.
I am always grateful that my art allows me to be welcomed into so many meaningful spaces and celebrations.

To all the fathers, grandfathers, bonus dads, uncles, and father figures that I know and love, I hope your Father’s Day was filled with joy, love, and appreciation.

Last week I had so much fun at the Brighton Branch of the Boston Public Library leading my Words of Affirmation Sewing Workshop! 🧵✨

We shared stories, laughter, creativity, and lots of positive energy while learning sewing skills and creating art inspired by our affirmations.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, we had a full house!
