Veggie Pick-Up Important Announcement From Feeding the Valley Alliance

We have a new permanent location!

This month's distribution will be on Friday, May 22nd from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at our new home, the Rochester Hub (the former High School). Our new space is on the far right side of the building - right by Skate Space. Look for our signs on the day of the pick up. We will have our own entry right by Skate Space.
For those of you who went to RHS, this is Mr. Goupee's old classroom.

We must put in our orders on Monday morning.

If you cannot make the pickup but would like to have your items delivered, please let us know and share your contact number and your address so that we can plan for our deliveries.

Please also note that we still cannot hold items until we are all set up. If you cannot make it, or need a delivery, please let us know ahead of time.

The Rochester Stockbridge Unified School District 2026-27 school budget passed last night. Thank you to all who came out to participate in the discussion.

Today voting for board members will be held by Australian Ballot from 10am to 7pm at the Rochester and Stockbridge town offices.

The Board welcomes and encourages all to join their regularly scheduled meetings. More information can be found at www.rsudschools.org.

BarnArts Center for the Arts brought female Mariachi Veronica Robles for an artist in residency program at Rochester School. Rochester and Stockbridge students in preschool through 6th grade joined to sing songs and learn dances.

Superintendent Kinnarney testified yesterday before the Senate Education Committee on Act 73. Kinnarney began by thanking the committee for supporting a hybrid approach to mapping that provides for both Supervisory Unions and Supervisory Districts and also for their consideration in the delay or elimination of minimum class size requirements. Superintendent Kinnarney focused his testimony on the transition mechanisms required for any newly formed supervisory unions and districts to become operational. He strongly advocated for an effective implementation date of July 1, 2028 for this transition to avoid parallel systems and allow time for supervisory unions and districts to thoughtfully develop a Strategic Plan.
