Hey Everyone! I am looking for a skilled nursing rehab facility in the Catawba, Lincoln, and Iredell areas. Does anyone have any knowledge or suggestions? I am really nervous about this decision, yet I know this is what I need to do! I have beat myself up long enough, it's time to take back my life!

To the Daughter Who Has to Wake up Fathers Day Without Her Daddy,

I get it.

I get that he was the last thing on your mind when you went to bed Saturday night, and he was the very first thing on your mind when you woke up this morning.

I get it.

I get the broken heart, the lump in your throat; that physical ache deep, deep down in your belly.

I get it.

I get the wanting of him; the needing of him. I get the longing for even just one more moment with him.

I get it.

I get that pang that your chest feels when the phone rings, and your mind fleets (for even just a moment) when you think it could be him.

I get it.

I get that yearning for just one more conversation, just one more piece of advice, just one more comforting hug (because is there anything better than a daddy hug? the answer is no).

I get it.

I get the fake smile that you will wear, the forced laughter that you will have, the “Yeah, I’m okay. Thanks for asking” that you will respond with on this day.

I get it.

So, Daughter Who Has to Wake up Fathers Day Without Her Daddy,

While on this day you may feel more alone than ever,

Please know that you are not.

Because this daughter right here, the one who has to wake up on Fathers Day without her daddy?

She gets you.

She really, really gets you.

This made me want to shout!!! Praise Jesus in the good times and in the bad times!! Thank you Lord for breaking me!!

Broken 💔😭🙌🏾
I was in Dollar Tree last night and there was a lady and two kids behind me in the LONG line. One was a big kid, one was a toddler. The bigger one had a pack of glow sticks and the baby was screaming for them so the Mom opened the pack and gave him one; which stopped his tears. He walked around with it smiling, but then the bigger boy took it and the baby started screaming again. Just as the Mom was about to fuss at the older child, he bent the glow sticks and handed it back to the baby. As we walked outside at the same time, the baby noticed that the stick was now glowing and his brother said "I had to break it so you could get the full effect from it." I almost ran because l could hear God saying to me, "I had to break you to show you why I created you. You had to go through it so you could fulfill your purpose."
That little baby was happy just swinging that "unbroken" glow stick around in the air because he didn't understand what it was created to do which was "glow". There are some people who will be content just "being" but some of us have been chosen by God to be "broken". We have to get sick. We have to lose a job. We go through divorce. We have to suffer with the disease of addiction. We have to bury our spouse, parents, best friend, or our child because, in those moments of desperation, God is breaking us, but when the breaking is done, then we will be able to see the reason for which we were created.. so when you see us glowing just know that we have been broken but healed by his Grace and Mercy!!!

Last Thanksgiving was the last time I was truly able to walk out of my room. And as many of you know, it's been a rough year, who am I kidding, it's been a rough several years. I have battled the grief of losing my Dad, having Covid twice, RSV, Appendicitis, a mass on my right colon, having to learn to sit, stand, and walk again. All that on top of the normal things like Asthma, Lipedema, Lymphedema, Hashimoto's, depression, anxiety, and my weight. While I can tell you it has been tough, my God never left my side!! He made a way when man said there was no way! Every doctor I saw, told me how I would never survive Covid, they didn't think I was going to survive RSV, so many thought I had just given up on myself and for a while I had, but God never did!!! I say all of this to say that today, I walked out of my room!! I was able to finally get in my scooter chair and go hang out in the kitchen for a while! I was able to push aside the fear and anxiety I have been feeling and let me tell you something...IT WAS AMAZING!!!! WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!! Thank you to all that have prayed for me, please keep them coming! This is only the beginning!!! Love you all!!!!
