What an incredible day! We kicked off with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, then headed into the city where we visited Ailey Studios and met incredible musician and conductor Peter Boonshaft. After that clinic, we took a break for lunch and some exploration time, then returned to the studio! Our second clinic was with fantastic Broadway conductor Adam Klepper, and former Genie in the Broadway musical Aladdin Frankie Viveros. We sight-read “Friend Like Me” and got to play along while he sang!! We wrapped up the day exploring Times Square, enjoying an amazing experience at Gayle’s Broadway Rose, and then rode to the “Top of the Rock”! 🧞♂️🏯🪨

We made it to New York! We kicked off the day with a delicious breakfast, then set off to see the Statue of Liberty on the Statue Cruises tour with our awesome guide Barb. After riding the ferry to Ellis Island and snapping pics with Ms Liberty, we landed at Battery Park in NYC. We strolled along, checked out Broadway Ave and Wall St, and moseyed through Trinity Church's historic graveyard where Alexander Hamilton is buried. Next up was lunch near the church, followed by a somber visit to the 9/11 memorial and museum. We wrapped up the night in Chinatown/Little Italy with an incredible dinner at La Nonnas Italian restaurant. Stay tuned for our packed schedule tomorrow! 🗽🇮🇹
