I spent an amazing 2 days at the Region 6 Art Mini Conference expanding my art knowledge!

I leaned so many fun new projects like Cardboard Sculpture, Clay Challenges, Yarn Sculpting and watercolor techniques! I can’t wait to share my new ideas with our Owl Artists when school starts! Here’s a few photos of some of my learning! 🎨 🦉

This week we are taking a virtual field trip to the art museum! 🖼️

The students are learning how to analyze and discuss works of art. Prek-2nd are participating in a scavenger hunt to find objects in the paintings. 3rd and 4th grade are completing an art journal to answer questions about each piece.

It has been so fun hearing their reflections and listening to their discussion! Even our tiniest owls have been showing so much higher level thinking!! 🤔

Can’t wait to take the trip with the remaining classes the next 2 days!
