We are beyond thrilled to celebrate J.T., who epitomized excellence as he represented our Academic Decathlon with distinction and honor, and is now being recognized as our district Student of the Month, a testament to the outstanding spirit of Magnolia High School. We have every confidence that he will go on to achieve greatness in the years to come.

Our very own J.T. Chappell will be recognized at the MISD School Board Meeting on Monday, 2/10, 6:30 pm at the Event Center. He is the Magnolia ISD Student of the Month, and you can read why he was chosen below. It would be wonderful if we could all go and support him.

J.T.'s Nomination from Mrs. Cantu:

J.T. has truly exemplified the values we strive for in both character and community. His positive attitude and eagerness to help others have been contagious, and he has consistently demonstrated kindness and humility in all his interactions. His strong sense of humor and ability to connect with peers and teachers alike has made him a standout member of our school community.

J.T.’s willingness to serve and step up, whether in the classroom or in extracurricular activities, speaks volumes about his character. His involvement with the Academic Decathlon team is a perfect example of his commitment. Not only did he contribute to the team’s success by helping them secure an impressive sixth place in the regional competition, but he also shined individually, winning a gold medal as a top performer. His humility throughout these accomplishments further highlights the type of leader he is—one who leads by example and encourages others along the way.

J.T. has certainly elevated the character of those around him, and through his actions, he has enriched our school community. He embodies the qualities of a model student, and I can think of no better candidate for Student of the Month.
