Poise isn’t polish. It’s alignment.

When a leader’s values, purpose, and presence are in sync, people feel it—before a word is spoken. That’s poise.

It’s not a performance. It’s congruence.

And it shows up most clearly under pressure—when stakes are high.

Where are you most aligned as a leader?

What throws that alignment off?

I’d love to hear your take.

Have you ever caught yourself saying this?

❌ “We’ve tried that before and it didn’t work.”

❌ “I’m too busy.”

❌ “We don’t have the money for that.”

❌ “My employees don’t take ownership.”

❌ “The economy is bad.”

❌ “I don’t have time for that.”

❌ “My boss doesn’t support me.”

Can our limiting statements become a roadblock to the way forward?

Is there a way to reframe limitations so we stay curious and open to solutions?

What is more important in your business?

Integrity or appearance?

We know the right answer. But that doesn’t mean it’s the answer we are choosing with our actions.

Do you build trust….or spend time managing perceptions?

A penny for your thoughts….

Is this quote relevant to our professional lives, or does it belong only in the personal realm?

What role do joy and passion play in meaningful, sustainable work?

Can we be effective at our jobs without experiencing any real joy in them?

Is there merit in showing up and grinding through the work, even when it doesn’t feel joyful?

What does it say about our leadership if our calendars are joyless?

Reading another leadership book…

…probably isn’t what your team needs most.

So what is?

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Don’t make this common mistake with your vision!

“If I just work hard enough, I’ll be where I want to be in five years.”

If you focus on hard work, long days, and grinding it out….

That’s exactly what you’ll be doing in five years.

Isn’t that what you were doing five years ago?

Try these 3 instead:

❌Manage your time
✅Multiply your energy

Energized, focused work is powerful.

❌ 1% More
✅ Innovation

1% better…yes, but also create time and mental space for creativity which leads to innovation. Maybe innovation could double your output?

❌Build with money
✅ Build in people

People are an organization’s most valuable resource. Develop them and create a high performing team. Money is a byproduct that results when people come first.

Back to the quote…what we leave behind in the hearts, minds, and lives of others is what matters most!

When is consistency the priority?

When do you cut your losses and move on?

Most people never find out…

Because it takes a lot of consistency to earn the right kind of data.

Here’s how you get there:

➡️ Choose your actions and start tracking them.

➡️ Measure the results.

➡️ Adjust your actions and observe the impact.

🔁 Keep measuring. Keep adjusting.

⏸️ Then—compare the effort required to the results achieved.

Only now have you earned the insight to make a smart, informed decision.

When is consistency key? When has it become futility? Insanity?

Life is about the journey not the destination, BUT...

How do you enjoy the journey?

By celebrating attempts!

We rarely get it right the first time.

The road to success is paved with our failures.

It took James Dyson 5,126 failed prototypes over the course of 15 years before he successfully invented the world’s first bagless vacuum cleaner.

Thomas Edison famously conducted thousands of experiments before successfully inventing the practical incandescent light bulb. He once said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

Instead of only focusing on success, celebrate attempts.

How?

✅Keep track of attempts.

✅Celebrate after a certain number of attempts.

✅Reward new ways of trying.

✅Write down what you learn with each attempt.

✅Show gratitude for what has been learned.

What is something you accomplished that required a ‘journey of attempts’?
