"As a first generation college student from a working class household, I was really surprised to not find resources to help cater to my financial need. Especially when it came to the classroom, I knew to spend hundreds of dollars a semester in textbooks was not affordable for myself or my peers from my same background. Thus, while I was a Senator-at-Large of Student Government I created the Gabriella D. Ramirez Textbook Lending Library with goals of alleviating the financial constraints associated with higher education." - Gabriella Ramirez
