State HOSA Leadership Conference 2026 in the books and was another successful year. As a chapter we were recognized for hosting our two blood drives this year. Individually we had the following success:
2nd Place - Audrey Johnson Health Career Photography
3rd Place - Calista Sahr in Pharmacology
3rd Place - Elliott Clements in Occupational Therapy
Top 5: Avery Alverson in Home Healthcare, Aveny Nelson in Phlebotomy, and Gavin Schneider in Healthcare Administration.

Madison HOSA represented us well in the competitive events at state conference. Students placing in the top 5 were Hayden - Clinical Nursing, Savannah - Dental, Aveny - Phlebotomy, Nathan - Pathophysiology, and Calista got runner up in Pharmacology, and Audrey won the Organizational Leadership contest!! Congrats to all the members who competed and represented MHS!

Happy Breast Cancer Awareness month! Our chapter celebrated by learning some facts and making a collage poster. Our President Kate also sold some pink bracelets as a fundraiser.

Madison High School is receiving $179,829 in grant dollars for new, innovative equipment for their career and technical education programs from the South Dakota Department of Education.

HOSA peeps!! We have been awarded grant money for our very own… ANATOMAGE TABLE!!!!! Anatomage

The Aberdeen Public School District has been awarded a $240,000 S.D. Department of Education grant to purchase state-of-the-art welding equipment for Aberdeen Central's ATEC Academy!

We had a great state conference this year with 30 kids attending! We received the 3rd place award for chapter growth and had many individuals on stage for awards. Here are our top 3 award winners:
2. Carsen Schneider in Pathophysiology
2. Evie Lurz in Researched writing and Speaking on the topic Youth Specialization in Sports: Good or Bad
3. Calista Sahr in Medical Law and Ethics
