This slaps!!
Love is louder than hate.
Love outlives arguments.
Love outlasts politics.
We don’t get remembered for who we argued with.
We get remembered for who we showed up for.
If hate spreads fast, let love move faster.
This is bigger than opinions.
This is legacy.
A lot of people don’t understand what veterans carry after the uniform comes off. Some of us fight battles you’ll never see… so you don’t have to.
This is “I’ll Suffer” — a song for every warrior still bleeding in silence.

This statement may come across as arrogant, but I assure you it's well-intentioned. I am proud of my physical achievements as a 40 plus man. Many men my age are not in the best physical shape. I recently met someone only a year older than me who appeared to be almost 60 years old. The idea that we must naturally lose muscle and bone mass with age is misguided. As a combat disabled veteran, what I do should serve as an example for all men (as women have different body types). If you know anyone or are yourself at this stage of life where aging seems like reason enough to give up on fitness, please reach out to a coach/gym professional or develop healthy habits within your own network. Grab a buddy and achieve greatness together and motivate each other.
Sincerely,
40 year old J
The Power of Perception: How Surroundings Shape Our Reality
In the vast landscape of human experience, perception plays a pivotal role in shaping our reality. From the cars we drive to the company we keep, what we see, hear, have, and live can significantly influence our thoughts, actions, and ultimately, our destinies.
The Car Phenomenon
Consider the curious case of buying a new car. Suddenly, the streets seem flooded with the same make and model that was once overlooked. Were they invisible before, or have our perceptions shifted? In reality, those cars were always there, but our attention was directed elsewhere. This phenomenon underscores the power of perception to filter and prioritize information based on our current interests and experiences.
The Influence of Environment
Our surroundings exert a profound influence on our lives. Whether it’s the drama we encounter, the wealth we aspire to, or the health we prioritize, our environment shapes our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. Just as a drop of ink taints clear water, negative influences can cloud our perceptions and impede our progress.
Manifesting Our Reality
Yet, amidst the cacophony of external stimuli, we wield the power to curate our realities. By consciously choosing to surround ourselves with influential, wealthy, successful, and positive individuals, we invite abundance and inspiration into our lives. Like a magnet, our thoughts and actions attract corresponding energies, gradually transforming aspirations into achievements.
Harnessing the Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction, a principle that suggests like attracts like, underscores the importance of aligning our thoughts and intentions with our desired outcomes. By fostering a mindset of abundance, gratitude, and possibility, we pave the way for success and fulfillment. Through visualization, affirmations, and deliberate actions, we can shape our destinies and manifest our dreams into reality.
Cultivating Empowering Habits
Surrounding ourselves with empowering influences is just the beginning. To fully harness the transformative power of perception, we must cultivate empowering habits that reinforce our desired outcomes. Whether it’s practicing gratitude, maintaining a growth mindset, or nurturing meaningful relationships, our daily actions lay the foundation for a life of purpose and prosperity.
Conclusion: Shaping Our Destiny
In the tapestry of life, perception is the weaver, and our surroundings are the threads from which our reality is spun. By embracing the power of perception and consciously curating our environments, we unlock the keys to a life of abundance, success, and fulfillment. As we journey forward, let us remember that the world we see is a reflection of the world we choose to create.
In a world abundant with possibilities, the choice is ours to shape our destiny. Let us embark on this journey with open hearts, clear minds, and unwavering determination. For in the realm of perception, the possibilities are limitless, and our potential knows no bounds.
Unpopular opinion: Dennis Rodman is super underrated. Without him the Bulls would have less Championships.
The reason why I keep most of my issues to myself. It’s not unhealthy or as people say “bottling it up”. Rumination, or dwelling on one’s problems, can indeed continue and contribute negative thoughts and emotions if it becomes excessive or unproductive. While it’s important to address and process our challenges, continually rehashing them without seeking solutions or perspective can amplify their impact on our mental well-being.
Abigail Shrier, an independent journalist and author, explores the complexities of mental health and therapy in her latest book, “Bad Therapy: Why the Kids Aren’t Growing Up.” Through insightful research and compelling narratives, Shrier delves into the pitfalls of certain therapeutic approaches and the consequences they may have on individuals’ growth and resilience.
In the age of social media, where sharing personal struggles is commonplace, Shrier’s work prompts us to reconsider how we approach discussing our problems. While seeking support and guidance can be beneficial, there’s merit in recognizing the fine line between constructive dialogue and rumination. Ultimately, finding a balance between acknowledging challenges and actively working towards solutions is key to fostering personal growth and resilience. So, if you find yourself hesitant to open up about your problems, remember that thoughtful introspection and seeking productive avenues for support can lead to meaningful progress.
So in other words. Talks to your true love but in small amounts. Keep positive thoughts flowing and keep off social media with your BS because no one wants to hear it, even your conscience. Thanks 😊
