Been MIA on IG while working on but that does now mean we haven’t been training.

Attention, long post but full of information, especially if you are thinking about starting school.

Just in case you have forgotten or might have missed it. All of those fortunate to be a WWITS employee or the even more fortunate students who have received training from our excellent instructors, let me remind you that WWITS has an educational partnership with Columbia Southern University. What does this mean? First of all, if you provide your certificate to CSU, they will give you credits for your training depending on your degree program. Secondly, you will receive a reduced tuition rate as well as waived application fee. Lastly, textbooks are INCLUDED!!!

Cleaning vs. Disinfecting

Knowing the difference between cleaning and disinfecting is crucial in stopping the spread of viruses, whether influenza (flu) or COVID-19. Per the CDC, "The simple process of cleaning does not necessarily kill germs; it merely removes dirt from the surface."

Proper disinfection is the only way to kill germs. While many believe they are disinfecting an area by merely cleaning with chemicals, they are incorrect. To properly disinfect an area, you need two things. An EPA approved formula as the one we use. The second is that the chemical must remain on the surface for the recommended amount of time to sanitize it properly.
