Research shows peer tutoring benefits both the giver and receiver! Some of the fruits shown include higher academic achievement, improved relationships with peers, improved personal and social development as well as increased motivation (National Education Association) * Help us reach our children with these benefits by referring tutors and students to our P.A.L.S. program!
Research Spotlight on Peer Tutoring
Peer tutoring is a term that’s been used to describe a wide array of tutoring arrangements, but most of the research on its success refers to students working in pairs to help one another learn material or practice an academic task.

What an inspiration! Our young people are truly amazing (too often far beyond what we give them credit for) and have so much love to give! May we learn from and be inspired to follow her example ♥️💕

What would happen if more of our youth were to be affirmed in their potential to achieve great things, one step, one person at a time?
PALS (Peers Advocating for Leadership & Service) offers youth the opportunity to discover for themselves their potential to be agents of positive progress in the life of a younger elementary school child, while the young child also sees how, with a little help, they can achieve more than they thought they may have first thought they could to their delight and that of their parents. EVERYONE wins!

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the many recent natural disasters and their loved ones: Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Katia, Maria, Tropical Storm Lidia, Earthquakes in MX and Japan, Forest fires across our land. May relief efforts be efficacious and deliver not just needed help but lots of hope. May this be an occasion for us to grow as people of hope, compassion and love as we unite as one to help those who need it most. And may new storms forming not form or go off to sea to dissolve there without hurting anyone. May our world become a more caring place as a result, a place of greater peace and joy. Blessings to all.
