A great first day of filming!!

8 years ago today, I began a journey I never thought I’d survive.

A battle I never imagined I could win.
Addiction—no matter the form—doesn’t discriminate.
It breaks, it isolates, it lies.
But it can be conquered.

Looking back, that version of me feels distant…
yet so close I can still feel her fear, her fight, her first breath of freedom.
And today, I just feel grateful.

I never thought I’d get to a place where I could share my story so openly —
but with God’s strength and grace… here we are.

Overcoming addiction looks different for everyone.
It heals differently.
It moves forward in its own time and way.
What works for some may not work for others.
And that’s okay.

Here I am, 8 years later. Still healing. Still growing.
And incredibly grateful.

To anyone on Day 1:
Don’t ever be ashamed of starting.
Your strength is in your decision to try.
Greatness is ahead. Healing is real.
And I’m living proof that it’s possible.
